All Signs Point to Hiring in 2011

Today’s WSJ had a couple of interesting articles that point to increased hiring in 2011.
Companies are beginning to hire recruiters to help handle the demand for hiring in the coming year. During the recession, many in-house recruiters as well as contract ones lost jobs. However by adding to staff in the HR and Recruiting areas, corporations are sending a strong signal that a rebound in hiring and a turn-around is near.
Additionally and specifically related to media and advertising, the WSJ today (12/20/2010) pointed out that online ads have surpassed newspaper advertising for the first time. And this parallels what we are seeing on a daily basis – the demand for digital talent is at an all time high and we have more openings than candidates. We expect to see this trend continue into 2011.
