Ad Spending is Rebounding!
Finally, some good news on the economic front, at least in terms of the advertising industry. We’ve seen a pick up in the number of jobs we need to fill, and now we see why. Nielsen just released some global ad spending data and it’s good news folks. In the first six months of 2010 global ad spending is up 13% vs. a year ago.
Some markets are growing faster than others, such as Latin America, up 45% from the same time period a year ago. The Middle-East, Africa and Asia all rose significantly and North America is at 5% lagging, yes, but still in a state of growth, and right now, that’s all we ask.
The growth is seen in television up 16%, getting 62% of the overall share. Radio, newspapers and magazines all rose as well.
